Your working packet lives in this browser.
Local-first gives you control, but it makes downloaded project backups essential.
- 1. Browser copy. Your browser stores the editable working packet, non-secret references, and saved custom packet choices in this browser profile. Local search does not save or send your queries.
- 2. Project backup. Download an .EverPacket project file and confirm it is stored somewhere you trust. The file is readable data, not an encrypted vault. Anyone with access to it may be able to read your reference values.
- 3. Restore test. Reopen that exact packet version, then confirm that the backup looks right.
- 4. Transfer. Move the project file yourself and open it on the other device. Signing in restores your purchase, not your packet.
- 5. Finished outputs. PDFs are ordinary local files. Review whether reference values are omitted, masked, or shown in full, and replace older copies after changes.
