Effective date: August 26, 2026
These Free Use Terms govern EverPacket's no-cost features. They supplement the Terms of Use. A parent or legal guardian must accept for a user below the age of legal majority.
1. Free features
EverPacket may let you create and maintain the currently offered free local packet, generate the free one-page emergency sheet, and import or export an .EverPacket project file without an account or purchase. At initial launch, the packet application and its no-cost workflow are offered only through the approved United States experience. An unsupported-country page may remain publicly accessible, but it provides only public information, an optional unlinked country-interest count, and ordinary outbound social-profile links; it does not provide the packet application, create an account, accept support content, collect an email address, or enable optional analytics or experiments. The exact free features and geographic availability shown in the Service control.
Free use is licensed, not sold. It does not include a promise that every paid feature, preset, output, review tool, or future feature will remain free. We may change free-feature limits prospectively after notice, but a free-use change does not create a subscription or recurring charge.
2. Acceptance
You accept these Free Use Terms by affirmatively selecting the acceptance control shown before the free output or other gated free function. The browser stores a receipt containing the version, integrity value, and acceptance time.
Where legally necessary, EverPacket may also preserve sufficient server-side or durable evidence without uploading packet contents. If the browser cannot save the acceptance receipt, the gated free function may remain unavailable until storage is available.
The main Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Digital Product, Delivery, Compatibility and Local-Storage Disclosure, Cookie and Device-Storage Notice, Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice, Global Consumer Rights Addendum, and Accessibility Statement also apply. Mandatory local rights prevail over a conflicting clause.
3. Local-only packet contents
The editable packet and its contents are designed to remain in your browser profile and files you create. Through ordinary free-product operation, EverPacket’s servers are not designed to receive packet fields, project-file contents, generated emergency-sheet contents, names, phone numbers, household locations, notes, or search text. The only support-related exception is a permitted, redacted PNG or JPEG support attachment that you intentionally submit under the main Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. That exception does not authorize you to submit packet contents or generated outputs.
Signing in later or buying Full does not upload, transfer, synchronize, back up, or restore the free packet. To move or preserve it, export an .EverPacket project file and protect that file yourself.
Clearing browser data, using private browsing, losing the device, changing browser profiles, storage eviction, or deleting the packet can permanently remove the only editable copy. EverPacket cannot recover content it never received.
4. No encryption or vault promise
EverPacket does not currently encrypt packet records stored in browser IndexedDB or the exported .EverPacket project file. Anyone with access to the device, browser profile, downloaded file, cloud-drive copy, email attachment, removable media, or printed emergency sheet may be able to read it.
Do not store passwords, passcodes, PINs, secret keys, complete payment-card or bank-account numbers, Social Security or national-identification numbers, authentication answers, detailed medical records, or other secrets that require a purpose-built secure system. Use device encryption, a screen lock, a protected browser profile, and an appropriately protected backup location.
5. Purpose and limitations
EverPacket is organizational software. It is not legal, medical, financial, insurance, tax, cybersecurity, or emergency advice; not a password manager or cloud backup; and not a guarantee that an emergency sheet is complete, accurate, current, safe, or appropriate.
Review every entry and generated output. Verify emergency numbers and official instructions with authoritative sources. In an emergency, contact official emergency services and qualified professionals.
6. Information about other people
You are responsible for having a lawful and appropriate basis to record or share another person's contact, dependent, household, or other information. Limit a free emergency sheet to people who need it and protect printed or electronic copies.
A QR code, contact card, PDF, printout, or project file may disclose its contents to anyone who can access it. EverPacket does not control downstream recipients, printers, email, messaging, cloud drives, scanners, or backups.
7. License and restrictions
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable license to use the free features for personal or household purposes. You may make reasonable personal copies of your generated emergency sheet and project file.
You may not resell, host, white-label, rent, scrape, bypass feature or acceptance controls, exploit security vulnerabilities, use the Service unlawfully, or reproduce EverPacket templates, prompts, software, designs, or documentation as a competing or standalone product. Rights granted by an applicable open-source license are not restricted.
8. Optional analytics and privacy choices
Optional product analytics and first-party marketing measurement are not required for free use. One optional analytics choice governs both. When allowed, EverPacket may use random browser identifiers and strict, content-blind records for closed product-event categories, normalized campaign attribution, CTA categories, and text-slot experiment exposure. The current launch design is intended not to include packet values, names, contact details, notes, search text, filenames, output contents, full URLs, raw referrer URLs, DOM capture, session replay, exception text, or other free text.
Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track forces optional product and marketing analytics off in the current design. Denying or withdrawing analytics does not limit free packet editing, free output generation, project import or export, support, account access, or a later purchase. The Privacy Policy and Cookie and Device-Storage Notice explain the exact events, attribution fields, storage names, retention periods, and privacy choices.
9. Availability and changes
Free features may be unavailable because of geographic availability, maintenance, browser limitations, device storage, provider outages, security response, legal restrictions, or changes to the product. At initial launch, EverPacket may block the packet application, account functions, support submission, and optional analytics outside the approved United States experience while leaving public information and legal pages accessible. For an eligible user after the application has loaded, supported local editing may work offline, but sign-in, purchase, recovery, and account functions require internet access.
We may update the application and file format. A project file made by a newer unsupported version may require an update before it opens. Keep a recent backup and test it periodically.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, free features are provided on an as-available basis without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not exclude any mandatory consumer guarantee, conformity obligation, duty, or remedy.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that rule and to the maximum extent permitted by law, EverPacket is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for loss or exposure of local packet data caused by device loss, browser clearing, storage eviction, shared-device access, failure to back up, or third-party services.
For a free service, EverPacket's aggregate liability is limited to USD 100 where a monetary cap is legally permitted. A local law that requires a greater remedy controls.
11. Termination
You may stop using the free features at any time. Delete local packets, browser data, and downloaded files separately. We may restrict free online functions for security, fraud, abuse, sanctions, or legal compliance, using proportionate measures and preserving mandatory rights.
Termination does not remotely delete local packets or files. Sections that by their nature should continue, including intellectual-property, liability, governing-law, and mandatory-right provisions, survive.
12. Governing law and contact
Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, these Free Use Terms are governed by California law, and disputes may be brought in San Diego County, California. Consumers retain any local forum or law that cannot be waived. No mandatory arbitration applies.
