EverPacket Refund, Cancellation and Withdrawal Policy

Effective date: August 26, 2026

1. Scope and priority of mandatory rights

This Policy applies to purchases of EverPacket Full. It explains EverPacket's voluntary refund promise, how to request a refund, when digital delivery begins, and region-specific cancellation or withdrawal rights.

Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts, or replaces a mandatory consumer right. If the law where you live gives you a more favorable right, remedy, cooling-off period, conformity guarantee, repair, replacement, price reduction, cancellation, or refund, that law controls.

The Payment Merchant—the legal entity identified by Stripe or Link at checkout and on your receipt—is the merchant of record for the transaction. It processes the payment and sends an approved refund to the original payment method, subject to its transaction controls and mandatory law. EverPacket is the software provider and licensor, determines eligibility under this voluntary policy, provides product support, and initiates or requests the applicable refund through the Payment Merchant.

2. One-time digital purchase

EverPacket Full is a one-time digital-product purchase, not a subscription. There is no automatic renewal and no physical shipment.

Delivery begins when verified payment is connected to an eligible account and Full access is activated. If payment succeeds while you are signed out, the purchase may remain paid but unactivated until you complete account setup or a verified recovery flow.

The initial paid launch is limited to transactions for which the Payment Merchant verifies a United States billing country. A Cloudflare-provided country signal may be used as a preliminary availability check, but the Payment Merchant’s final billing-country record controls the launch-eligibility decision. A verified paid transaction reported with a United States billing country is ordinarily eligible for fulfillment even if the customer later accesses EverPacket while travelling or from another country. The final product price, applicable tax, Payment Merchant, and total amount are shown in the hosted checkout and on the Payment Merchant receipt. Marketing may show a U.S. base price, but the hosted checkout total controls.

3. EverPacket's voluntary 14-day refund promise

Subject to Section 4, EverPacket will approve a full refund under the standard voluntary policy when all of the following are true:

1. we receive a valid request no later than 14 calendar days after verified payment;

2. no paid output has been successfully completed for that purchase;

3. the purchase has not already been refunded, reversed, or charged back;

4. the request is not fraudulent, abusive, or part of an attempt to retain paid benefits without payment; and

5. no active legal, sanctions, security, or payment-risk hold requires manual review.

A paid output means either:

• a non-free EverPacket PDF that the browser successfully creates and that you then download, send to print, or share through an explicit handoff action; or

• a paid contact-card file that the browser successfully creates and that you then download or share through an explicit handoff action.

The free one-page emergency sheet does not count as a paid output. Exporting or importing an .EverPacket project file does not count. Merely opening the output panel, requesting an authorization, viewing a configuration screen, generating or previewing a QR code, previewing a PDF, beginning a render, encountering an error, closing the tab, or receiving an authorization token does not count as a completed paid output.

The 14-day period is measured from the timestamp of verified payment, not from account activation. A request received by the end of the fourteenth calendar day is timely. Where mandatory law calculates a period differently, the mandatory method applies.

4. Requests outside the standard policy

A request that does not satisfy the voluntary standard policy will be reviewed for:

• a mandatory cooling-off or withdrawal right;

• non-conforming, defective, misdescribed, unavailable, or incompatible digital content or service;

• duplicate or unauthorized charge;

• failure to deliver or activate after verified payment;

• a material outage or account problem that we cannot fix within a reasonable time;

• an accessibility barrier that prevents use and cannot be reasonably resolved;

• fraud, account compromise, or payment error;

• exceptional hardship or other discretionary grounds; or

• another remedy required by law.

We may grant an exception even when not legally required. Granting one exception does not change the Policy for other transactions.

A risk hold or suspected abuse does not automatically deny a lawful refund. It routes the request to a documented human review.

5. How paid-output completion must be recorded

Refund eligibility must use a two-phase, content-blind process:

Phase 1 - authorization intent

Before a paid output, the signed-in browser may request a short-lived authorization. The server may verify the account, purchase, entitlement, refund-window status, output class, nonce, and application version. This phase must be recorded only as authorized or attempted and must not by itself make the transaction ineligible for a standard refund.

Phase 2 - successful completion

Only after the browser successfully creates the file and the user completes a permitted handoff action may it send a completion acknowledgment tied to the authorization nonce. For a paid PDF, the permitted completion bases are download, print, or share. For a contact-card file, the permitted completion bases are download or share. Displaying or previewing an output is not a permitted completion basis. The completion record may include only the purchase reference, output class, permitted completion basis, authorization reference or nonce hash, application version, and completion time. It must not include packet contents, filename, PDF bytes, contact details, QR payload, title, household data, or output fingerprint.

A completion acknowledgment must be idempotent and rejected if the authorization is expired, duplicated inconsistently, connected to a different account or purchase, submitted without a valid authorization, or uses a completion basis that is not permitted for the stated output class. If local creation or the user-initiated handoff fails before completion, no refund-disqualifying record may be created.

Where offline output is permitted during a refund window, the product must either preserve the standard refund right or use a lawful, clearly disclosed alternative that does not falsely record a failed output as complete.

6. How to request a refund or withdrawal

Use the refund or withdrawal control in your account, the continuously available online withdrawal function where required, or email support@everpacket.com. Include:

• the purchase email;

• the receipt or order reference, if available;

• the request type, such as standard refund, withdrawal, duplicate charge, non-conformity, or exceptional review; and

• a short explanation if the request is based on a defect, incompatibility, unauthorized payment, or other issue.

Do not send complete card details, passwords, project files, packet contents, or government identification. We may ask for proportionate verification before disclosing transaction information or changing an account.

A withdrawal function required by law must remain easy to find, continuously available during the applicable period, and must provide an immediate on-screen acknowledgment and a durable confirmation by email or other legally valid medium.

7. Review process

We review the transaction status, payment time, refund-policy version, accepted legal versions, activation status, any successful paid-output completion record, previous refunds or disputes, and relevant risk or support information.

We do not inspect packet contents. Product analytics events such as full_pdf_generated are consent-sampled and are not authoritative refund evidence.

We aim to acknowledge a request promptly and decide it within a reasonable time. Mandatory response and reimbursement deadlines apply where they are shorter. If we deny a request, we will state the principal reason and identify any review, appeal, Payment Merchant, regulator, or consumer-remedy route available.

8. Refund amount and method

An approved full refund generally covers the complete amount charged for EverPacket Full, including applicable tax returned through the Payment Merchant, in the transaction currency. Because the product is a single digital license, we do not ordinarily issue a partial refund under the voluntary policy. A mandatory law may require a different amount, a price reduction, or another remedy.

The Payment Merchant sends the refund to the original payment method unless law or payment-system rules require another method. Banks and payment services may take additional time to display the credit. Foreign-exchange differences, issuer fees, or currency movements outside our control may affect the amount shown by your financial institution, except where law requires us or the Payment Merchant to cover them.

An approved refund ends the paid entitlement after provider reconciliation. It does not remotely delete packet contents, downloaded files, contact cards, PDFs, QR codes, printouts, or project files already under your control. You must stop using paid features and delete paid outputs where the applicable withdrawal or rescission law requires return or cessation and where technically and legally applicable.

9. Duplicate, unauthorized, or incorrect charges

Contact us and the Payment Merchant promptly if you see a duplicate, unauthorized, incorrect, or unrecognized charge. We may ask for the order reference, charged amount, date, last four digits or payment-method category supplied by the Payment Merchant, and evidence sufficient to locate the transaction. Do not email a complete card number or security code.

A payment dispute or chargeback may place the entitlement on hold while the transaction is investigated. A dispute does not waive a mandatory refund or consumer right. Please use the support route first when practical so we can investigate without unnecessary delay or duplicate proceedings.

10. Failed payment, cancelled checkout, and paid-but-unactivated orders

A checkout that is cancelled or expires before successful payment creates no paid license and ordinarily requires no refund. A temporary bank authorization may be released according to the issuer's timing.

If payment is verified but activation is not completed, contact support or use the recovery flow. You may request a refund under the voluntary policy or applicable law even if the purchase has not been activated. We will not treat non-activation as a completed paid output.

If we cannot provide or restore the paid entitlement within a reasonable period after verified payment, you are entitled to an appropriate remedy, including a refund where required.

If payment is verified and the Payment Merchant’s final record reports a United States billing country, EverPacket will ordinarily activate the purchase after its normal payment, legal, and account checks; a later non-U.S. IP address does not by itself invalidate the purchase. If a paid transaction completes and the Payment Merchant’s final record instead reports a billing country outside an approved launch market, EverPacket will not activate the paid entitlement and will arrange a prompt full refund through the Payment Merchant after provider reconciliation. Knowingly false country or billing information may be reviewed as fraud or abuse under the voluntary policy, but it does not displace a mandatory refund, conformity, or consumer right.

11. EEA digital-content withdrawal rights

Consumers in the European Economic Area may generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, that right may be lost only when all conditions required by law are satisfied, including prior express consent to begin supply during the withdrawal period, acknowledgment that the right will be lost when supply begins or is completed as the law provides, and required confirmation on a durable medium.

EverPacket must use a separate, unchecked immediate-supply and withdrawal acknowledgment. Agreement to general terms or a pre-checked box is not enough. If the required consent, acknowledgment, or confirmation is missing or defective, the withdrawal right remains available as required by law.

Since June 19, 2026, an approved EEA launch must also provide the online withdrawal function required by the amended Consumer Rights Directive. EverPacket must not enable an EEA checkout until that function and the country-specific consumer information are operational.

The conformity, update, repair, replacement, price-reduction, and termination remedies under Directive (EU) 2019/770 and national implementing laws remain available regardless of the voluntary 14-day no-output policy.

12. United Kingdom digital-content rights

UK consumers may have a 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Supplying digital content during that period requires the consumer's express consent and acknowledgment of the effect on cancellation rights, together with required confirmation. If those steps are not validly completed, the statutory cancellation right is not displaced.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 provides mandatory rights for digital content to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described, with statutory remedies. The voluntary policy does not limit those rights.

A UK launch requires the separate immediate-supply control, durable confirmation, withdrawal/cancellation function where applicable, UK representative assessment, and localized checkout disclosures identified in the internal audit.

13. Brazil

Brazilian distance-contract consumers generally have a seven-day right to withdraw under the Consumer Defense Code and related e-commerce rules. For initial launch, EverPacket should honor a timely Brazilian withdrawal request regardless of paid-output completion unless qualified Brazilian counsel approves and the product implements a lawful, clearly disclosed alternative.

A Brazilian launch requires Portuguese seller, price, delivery, restriction, support, cancellation, privacy, and contract information, together with a simple electronic cancellation route and reimbursement through the appropriate payment mechanism.

14. Taiwan

Taiwan consumers generally have a seven-day distance-transaction cancellation right. Certain digital content or fully performed online services may be excluded only after the seller gives the required prior notice and obtains the consumer's prior consent in the legally required manner.

EverPacket must not rely on that exception without a Traditional Chinese disclosure and separate consent that have been reviewed for the exact product flow. Otherwise, the statutory right remains available.

15. Australia and New Zealand

Australian Consumer Law guarantees and New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act rights cannot be excluded by a “no refund” rule. You may be entitled to repair, replacement, cancellation, refund, compensation, or another remedy when digital goods or services fail a mandatory guarantee. The seriousness and remediability of the failure affect the remedy.

The voluntary 14-day policy is additional to those guarantees. Contact support with the defect or failure; you do not need to characterize the request using legal terminology.

16. Canada and Quebec

Canadian provincial consumer laws may provide cancellation or remedy rights for internet agreements, non-delivery, missing required disclosures, misrepresentation, or defective digital products. Quebec requires French consumer contract and technology information before an English standard-form contract may be chosen in the legally required manner.

EverPacket must not offer checkout to Quebec residents until the complete French flow and required legal review are available. The voluntary policy does not restrict a provincial statutory right.

17. Japan, South Korea, India, South Africa, Mexico, Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and other markets

Approved market-specific versions will identify any mandatory cooling-off, return, cancellation, defect, disclosure, language, or electronic-contract rights. The following launch controls apply:

• Japan requires the mail-order seller disclosures and return/cancellation terms presented in Japanese and on the final confirmation screen as required by the Specified Commercial Transactions Act.

• South Korea requires Korean electronic-commerce and privacy disclosures and review of digital-content withdrawal exceptions before launch.

• India requires compliant seller, grievance, refund, privacy, and dark-pattern controls under applicable consumer e-commerce and data-protection law.

• South Africa requires review under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, Consumer Protection Act where applicable, and POPIA.

• Mexico requires a Spanish privacy notice and electronic-commerce disclosures under the Federal Consumer Protection Law and current private-sector data-protection law.

• Singapore and Hong Kong require fair-practice and privacy disclosures, and any mandatory remedy remains available.

• Switzerland requires transparent digital-product terms and compliance with the Federal Act on Data Protection; representative and transfer obligations must be assessed.

Until a market is approved, EverPacket may block checkout even if the Payment Merchant can technically accept payment there.

18. Effect of a refund on account and records

A refund changes the entitlement to refunded after provider reconciliation. We retain transaction, refund, legal-acceptance, fraud-prevention, tax-cooperation, dispute, and audit records for the periods stated in the Privacy Policy. Account deletion is a separate request.

A refund does not delete optional analytics already lawfully collected, though you may withdraw future analytics permission and exercise applicable privacy rights. It does not delete local browser data or files.

19. Policy changes

The exact Policy version accepted for a transaction governs the voluntary promise for that transaction. We may offer a more favorable remedy later. We will not retroactively reduce an accrued refund or withdrawal right.

The current and historical versions must be available in the legal archive. A cached offline copy may be stale; the live version shown in the purchase review controls.
